Q: Who is Galpins Cars
A: We are a passenger transport and courier company. We are part of Galpins Services ltd. We provide passengers with a PCO licensed vehicle and a PCO licensed driver. This is NOT a shared service the vehicle is for your sole use.
Q:What type Vehicles do you have ?
A: All are cars are licensed. We provide Saloons, Estates, 6-8 Passenger Carriers and Executive Cars
Q:What Kind Of Service Can I expect to get ?
A: All of our drivers are smartly dressed, with licensed vehicles. They all carry XDAs hence can be tracked in real time. We can also send text messages and email confirmations.
Q:Is your company licensed?
A: Yes, we are a fully licensed company and are required to abide by the regulations set by the PCO
Q:How to get a quote ?
A: You can email or call a staff member at our call center 24/7.
Q:How long have you been providing a private transfer service?
A: Our management team between them has over 30 years of experience in passenger logistics. Our aim to provide a service that is second to none. Our drivers are license and approved by Transport for London (PCO).
Q: What areas do you cover?
A: We provide a service in London and surrounding counties.
Q:Which airports do you service?
A: All London Airports, Heathrow, Gatwick, Stanstead, and Luton.
Q:How can I pay for this service?
A: You can open an account or pay cash direct to the driver
Q: What if my flight is delayed? Will I be charged extra?
A: We monitor flight arrivals before any drivers are dispatched, as a result we do NOT charge you any extra if your flight is delayed.
Q: Where do I meet my driver when I land at the airport?
A: The Meeting Point is at the The Information Desk. All Passengers receive a “meet and greet” service and can expect to see their driver with a name board, unless you specify otherwise. The driver will give you a courtesy call.
Q:What if I cannot locate my driver?
A: Call our 24hr support line on +44 020 8683 2222 quoting your order reference number or your name and our experienced staff will be able to assist you.
Q:Do you operate a fixed price policy?
A: Most of our journeys are based on set fares. Prices will change if there are extra stops, or waiting time for which you must contact our office on +44 020 8683 2222.
Q: Are your prices per car or per person?
A: We do NOT provide a shared service. Our vehicles are sole use vehicles, our prices are per vehicle. Please see Vehicle capacity for further details
Q: How early do I need to book my car?
A: Suggested booking time is 24hrs prior to the job. However we should be able to cover ASAP bookings.
Q: Can I make a booking if the party consists of more than 8 passengers?
A: We can cater for 8+ passengers, please email us your request or call us.
Q:Will you meet us at any time of day?
A: Yes we provide a 24hour service. We will meet you at any time of day and there is no extra charge for unsocial hours. The only time we levy a extra charge is at the Christmas period – Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day – 50 % extra
Q: Are there any additional costs?
A: Job may be subject to waiting time charges. For airport pickups 1st 45mins is free from landing and then we charge £16per hour. From addresses 1st 5min is free. Diversions, extra passengers or luggage – vehicle upgrade charges.
Q: Do I need to pay in advance?
A: No you do not need to pay in advance.
Q: Can I cancel my booking?
A: Yes, you can cancel a booking. Please contact Our 24/7 Helpdesk on +44 020 8683 2222
Q: What happens if my flight is cancelled or I miss my flight?
A: Contact us as soon as possible on +44 020 8683 2222, or email. Your order will be placed on HOLD for 24 hours, during which you can re-book your transfer at no extra cost
If you fail to inform us and the driver is dispatched our terms and conditions will apply upon which you will incur a full “No Show” charge. If however you inform us prior to the dispatch of the driver we will place your transfer order on HOLD for 24 hours during which you are able to re-book at no extra charge
